The Dozenal Society of America

The Society is a voluntary nonprofit educational corporation, organized for the conduct of research and education of the public in the use of base twelve in calculations, mathematics, weights and measures, and other branches of pure and applied science.

Music

Musicians and mathematicians alike will tell you that twelve and harmony have a lot to do with one another. Music’s “Well-Tempered Scale” is based on two raised to the power of n twelfths, for instance. Below are some brief abstracts which relate music and the dozen.
